A master’s degree in technology (M.Tech) is a two-year professional technical degree program. Master in Technology is the full form of M.Tech. Eligibility for Admissions to M.Tech course
Candidates must hold a Btech or BE degree from a recognized educational institution, as well as a valid GATE score. Candidates must have received a minimum of 60% aggregate scores in their bachelor’s degree, and they must have studied Maths, Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or something similar. This program has no age restrictions, so candidates who are in the final year of their bachelor’s degree can apply.
Selection Criteria for Admissions to M. Tech
Candidates for M.Tech are shortlisted based on their GATE scores. The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is a national entrance examination organised by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) in Bangalore and the seven Indian Institutes of Technology. GATE is a test that assesses a candidate’s overall understanding of various undergraduate subjects in Engineering, Technology, Architecture, Science, Commerce, and the Arts.
The GATE score reflects a candidate’s relative performance level in a particular subject. The GATE score is valid for a period of THREE years. Many public sector organisations (PSUs) use the GATE score to recruit candidates for prestigious jobs with lucrative pay packages. Candidates are chosen on the basis of their qualifying degree merit if GATE scores are not available.

Admissions for the M.Tech course
Candidates must apply on the official website of the GATE exam conducting authority. Applicants must achieve a score that is higher than the college’s cutoff mark. Candidates who pass the GATE exam must apply through the college’s official website using their GATE entrance exam scores. After candidates report to campus, a merit list will be issued on a specific date, and seat allotment will be done accordingly.
MTech Admission 2022: Counselling Round
Candidates must go through the counselling round after passing all phases of the admissions process. The first step is online registration, which requires candidates to sign up and pay the required fees on the CCMT website. Unreserved candidates pay INR 2500, while reserved candidates pay INR 2000.
The next step is the online seat allotment, which is done based on the merits of the candidates. They can get the seat allotment letters online and pay INR 30,000 once they’ve received them. The selected candidates must upload the required documents for verification after the seat allotment process. The submitted documents are double-checked by the officers of the respective institutes. Candidates must pay the remaining admission fees to the concerned institutes online after successful document verification.
